DIY Vegan Laundry Soap:
1 Bar of Vegan Soap (I like Dr. Bronners Lavender)
1 Cup of Washing Soda
1 Cup of Borax (a naturally vegan product)
Essential Oil of your Choice (Lavender or Lemongrass, very fresh & clean scents)
-Grate soap, add to pot with 4 Cups of Water
-Bring to boil, stirring to melt soap together
-When soap is completely dissolved, remove from heat & add borax & washing soda
-Now fill up your 5-gal bucket with water & pour in your mixture, let it sit for about an hour
-After the hour, then fill up the rest of the bucket with water and stir and cover.
-Let it sit overnight.
The next morning open it up and stir really well (it may be quite thick).
-Now select a smaller storage container for everyday use.
-Fill ½ way with detergent, then add about 20 drops of your essential oil scent
fill the rest with water.
-Use ¼- ⅓ cup per load & this should last you quite a while in addition to saving you from the sulphates and parabens in traditional brands & cost.
You’ll need a large bucket with a lid.
A smaller bucket or sealable container (for your everyday use)
Smells way better than anything I’ve ever bought in the Health Food Store & Does a Phenomenal job keeping you dry.
30 drops of Lavender Organic Essential Oil
20 drops Eucalyptus Organic Essential Oil
Mix together and store in a jar or tupperware. You can dust it on like powder with a brush or use a small cotton round to "puff" it or fluff it onto your body wherever you sweat and plan to stay dry.
